This series consists of correspondence, memorandums, reports, clippings, periodicals, brochures, pamphlets, circulars, minutes of meetings, agreements, drafts, maps, photographs, telegrams, tables, authorizations, copies of legislative bills, copies of patents, and notes relating to research projects carried out by technological field laboratories administered by the Division of Industrial Research in cooperation with fishing industry associations and university research centers with funds provided under the Saltonstall-Kennedy Act of 1954 (68 Stat. 376). Included are records relating to investigations of the utilization of fish by-products, seafood storage and processing methods, grading standards, the nutritional values of various forms of seafood, shellfish toxins, and specific aquatic species. Also included are records concerning cooperation between the Division of Industrial Research and domestic fishery associations as well as participation by its representatives in meetings of international organizations concerning fishery resources, food, and related technology.
